Share on:The Star Wars: Battlefront 2 open beta is now live for all, and the download size isn’t as massive as we feared.Prior to the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 beta going live, EA said it was among it’s ever distributed. This, coupled with news that there wasn’t going to be a pre-load, many feared they’d be stuck downloading 20 or 30+ GB today.Thankfully, now that the beta has gone live for pre-order players, we can safely confirm that it’s not a massive download. At this point I think it's the 42GB Download and install. It's grown quite a bit as more content has been added, which is likely why there's the '27GB' discrepancy. Unfortunately I don't have any solid info on how compressed the downloaded data is.And yes, once it passes the mark indicated you can play some of the game content. It's far from the whole game, you'll play as Darth Vader running around a hangar slaughtering rebels forever, but it's something to do while the rest of the content is downloaded.
